Initial Editorial Assessment

Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an editorial screening process to evaluate:

  • Relevance to the journal's scope
  • Academic significance
  • Technical completeness
  • Compliance with submission requirements
  • Suitability for peer review

Manuscripts that do not satisfy the journal's basic requirements may be returned to the authors before external review.

Double-Blind Peer Review

IJERBDS primarily follows a Double-Blind Peer Review System.

Under this model:

  • Reviewer identities remain confidential.
  • Author identities remain concealed from reviewers.
  • Neither party is aware of the other's identity during the review process.

This approach minimizes potential bias and promotes objective evaluation based solely on scholarly merit.

Each eligible manuscript is generally evaluated by two or more independent experts possessing relevant subject knowledge and research experience.

Single-Blind Peer Review

In certain circumstances, such as invited papers, special issues, technical reports, conference extensions, or specific editorial requirements, the journal may utilize a Single-Blind Review System.

Under single-blind review:

  • Reviewers know the identity of the authors.
  • Authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.

This model may be adopted when deemed appropriate by the editorial office while maintaining confidentiality and review integrity.

Review Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers are requested to evaluate submissions based on:

  • Originality and innovation
  • Scientific and technical contribution
  • Methodological quality
  • Clarity of presentation
  • Literature integration
  • Practical significance
  • Data interpretation
  • Relevance to the journal's specialization
  • Overall scholarly value

Reviewers are encouraged to provide constructive suggestions that help authors improve the quality of their work.

Editorial Decision Process

Following completion of peer review, manuscripts may receive one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Accept with Minor Revisions
  • Major Revisions Required
  • Resubmit for Further Evaluation
  • Reject

Authors receiving revision requests are expected to address reviewer comments carefully and provide a detailed response during resubmission.

The final publication decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board based on reviewer feedback, journal standards, and scholarly merit.

  • Maintain confidentiality of manuscripts.
