Abstract

This study examines the ethical implications of AI-driven targeted advertising powered by big data analytics. With the rise of personalized marketing, companies leverage artificial intelligence to analyze user behavior and deliver tailored content. While this enhances consumer engagement, it raises ethical concerns such as privacy violations, data manipulation, and biases in targeting. By reviewing existing literature and conducting a qualitative analysis of case studies, this research identifies the ethical challenges, evaluates current industry practices, and proposes a framework for ethical AI in targeted advertising. The findings underscore the need for transparency, regulation, and consumer empowerment to ensure equitable and responsible use of AI in advertising.
