Abstract

Automated CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems have become integral to modern business operations, enabling efficient customer data management and enhanced personalization. However, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) imposes stringent requirements on data handling, creating significant compliance challenges for these systems. This study examines key GDPR compliance issues, including data privacy, user consent, data processing transparency, and the right to erasure, within automated CRM systems. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing literature and a case study approach, we identify critical gaps, evaluate the effectiveness of current solutions, and propose strategies to ensure GDPR adherence while maintaining system efficiency.
