Abstract

This study explores the impact of GraphQL on reducing latency in high-volume e-commerce transactions. By enabling efficient data retrieval and minimizing over-fetching and under-fetching issues, GraphQL offers a tailored query approach that optimizes performance in complex, data-intensive environments. The paper evaluates GraphQL's performance in contrast to traditional REST APIs using a simulated e-commerce platform under high-traffic conditions. Results demonstrate that GraphQL improves response times, reduces bandwidth usage, and enhances user experience, making it a compelling choice for modern e-commerce platforms.
